PURPOSE
To show women that a life of fierce passion and simple joy is possible. It is such passion and joy that leads to a meaningful life.
MISSION
To tell the everyday stories I hear and life lessons I learn on the journey to living a fierce, beautiful life, with a focus on women, career, and simplicity.
VISION
To build a community of amazing young women who are starting or in the middle of their journey to a fierce, beautiful life. To help women realize that the way it’s been done isn’t the way it has to be in the future. To build a future filled with women who take ownership of their careers, stand proud in their truth, live more simply, create more meaning, and have a positive effect on the world around them. Women can be a fierce, beautiful light in the world.
THESE THINGS I KNOW TO BE TRUE:
- Every day is a new “day 1”
- People will not remember you for where you worked or what you did at work. They will remember your relationship, how you made them feel, who you were as a person. So don’t spend all your time working. Don’t stress about work. There are more important things.
- Your health and your family are the most important things in life. Everything else will come and go.
- Roll with the punches and go with the flow. Life is much easier when you are flexible.
- There is always time to change. Nothing is the end of the world.
- You have the power to make good choices every day. Every choice is a new opportunity.
- Don’t worry about what other people think. Stay true to yourself.
- Feeling good is more important than looking like a Victoria’s Secret model
- Complaining is literally a waste of time. Either do something to change the situation or keep your mouth shut.
- Negativity is a sinkhole – put even one foot in and it will pull you in and drown you. Positivity is a garden – plant one seed and it will grow and spread.
- You don’t need all the latest and greatest things, gadgets, or clothes. What you have is enough.
- It is only by getting out of our comfort zone that we learn and grow. No one ever became the best version of themselves by doing the same thing every day.
- Read more books. Watch less TV.
